Privacy Policy

This notice explains, in plain English, how your information is used when you use the Business LPA Assistant.

Who we are

The data controller is CareCoaching / P Guthrie Consultancy, 33 Lichfield Road, London, NW2 2RG.

What we collect

  • Your account email address and password (the password is stored encrypted — we cannot see it).
  • Donor details you enter: name, date of birth, address and contact details.
  • Details of attorneys, replacement attorneys and people to notify.
  • Your Business Continuity and Business Readiness answers, and your Section 7 instructions and preferences.
  • Billing details if you pay: name, email, optional business name and address, and invoice records. Card details are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

  • Contract — to provide the LPA preparation service you asked for, save your progress and create your documents.
  • Legal obligation — to keep invoices and accounting records.
  • Consent — only if you tick the box, to send occasional news and course updates. You can change your mind at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We only use trusted services that help run the app:

  • Stripe — to take card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments.
  • Resend — to email your invoices and receipts.
  • Lovable Cloud — to host the app and store your saved work securely.

How long we keep it

Your LPA preparation information is stored for 16 weeks. Please download your documents during this time.

Invoices are kept for as long as UK accounting law requires (usually 6 years), even if you delete your account.

Keeping your information safe

Each account is locked to its owner using row-level security in our database, so no other user can view or access your draft.

All communication between your device and the app, and all database requests, are encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

Your rights

You have the right to access a copy of your data, to correct it, and to ask for it to be deleted. You can also withdraw marketing consent at any time.

You can correct your details at any time inside the app. To ask about any right, email info@carecoaching.co.uk. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
